Information

This program was built for the exhibitors, originated by an actual open show exhibitor so that the open shows did not overlap, and exhibitors were provided a healthy schedule of shows spread throughout the year. The Border Run program is a perk for exhibitors who were already planning on exhibiting at these shows. One of the pros of this program is it is free for an exhibitor to participate and in return is rewarded. We are unaware of any other program like this one. Typically, the exhibitor always has to enroll with some sort of a fee associated.

The show season for the Border Run is January 1 - December 31 of the current calendar year.

The Border Run Founders have the right to amend the rules when a situation such as a pandemic that was experienced in 2020 occurs and will make the best decision they see fit to be in the best interest of the exhibitors once the season has concluded.

We have re-evaluated our points system. Beginning for the 2024 show season the following system will be put into place.

May 2024 - The leadline and walk/whoa riding classes were determined at our May meeting to be ineligible towards year end awards. Walk/whoa showmanship will be accepted for the showmanship performance division. Jackie may have notified you already if you have turned in paperwork with these classes listed.
