Border Run Open Horse Show Round Up is excited to partner with Fox Valley Saddle Association to offer a FREE educational clinic day for exhibitors, riders, and auditors. This clinic is open to the Border Run community and beyond, with no participation fee thanks to our partnership and shared commitment to education.

Join us for a morning of learning, horsemanship, and practical instruction led by two experienced clinicians.

Cost: FREE to attend (riders & auditors)
Gates Open: 8:00 AM

⚠️ Registration is required to manage group sizes.
Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

Showmanship Clinic

8:30 AM – 10:00 AM
Clinician: Kelsey Keathly

This FREE showmanship clinic will focus on building confident, polished presentations in the show pen, including:

  • Correct handler positioning and body awareness

  • Communication and timing with your horse

  • Ring presence, precision, and flow

  • Common mistakes and how to correct them

 

Ideal for riders of all ages and experience levels.

Ranch Riding Clinic

10:15 AM – 11:45 AM
Clinician: Kathryn Baumann

This FREE ranch riding clinic will emphasize practical skills and correctness expected in modern ranch classes, including:

  • Proper gaits, transitions, and movement

  • Maneuver execution and pattern flow

  • Horsemanship and functionality

  • Building confidence and consistency in the pen

 

Riders will benefit from Kathryn’s thoughtful, horse-first approach and clear instruction.

Important Registration Information – Sign Up Now!

To ensure the best experience for both riders and auditors, registration is required one week before the event for both horse/rider participants as well as audit spots.

We’re limiting rider participation to the first eight riders who register, so spots are extremely limited. These spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. If you want to participate with your horse in this incredible clinic with Kelsey and Kathryn, don’t wait—secure your place today!

The format will be 1.5 hours of instruction for each clinic. We hope to have time for questions

For those who wish to audit the clinic and observe Kelsey and Kathryn's techniques from the sidelines, there will be unlimited audit spots available. These spots are open to all who wish to learn and gain insight from this exceptional opportunity. AUDITORS PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR!!!
