Here it is. What you've been waiting for. In 2023, YOU have the opportunity to win a work saddle by Sterling Custom Saddles or a show halter by Kathy's Show Equipment.
Our goal is to continue to offer these awards year after year. A lot of hard work and effort has made this opportunity possible for YOU. Each year one overall high point age division will be awarded a work saddle. The saddle will rotate through the age divisions year to year. The other overall high point age divisions will be awarded a Kathy's Show Halter. The reserve overall high point age division winners will receive a buckle.
At the banquet our Road Warrior, Korie Hall, drew the first age division to recieve the saddle. In 2023, the 19-39 overall high point winner will receive the work saddle. At the 2024 banquet the next age division will be drawn and so on and so forth.
The winner will be awarded a certificate for a basic work saddle that includes the Border Run logo. By providing a certificate it will allow the winner to obtain the appropriate seat size and type of seat. The winner can customize their saddle further for an additional cost. The one requirement when the saddle is made that the Border Run logo will be placed on the saddle. We plan to have the show halters on hand for the 2024 banquet. The halters will feature e.g. Border Run Champion on the buckle. The photo below of the saddle is a mock and the halter is the one we plan to award.
