Can auditors still sign up after the deadline?
Absolutely! The deadline was for horse/rider participation only. Please give us a heads up for auditing so we have an understanding of how many to expect. You can email us. Please include name and contact info - phone and email, and number in attendance.
How do I know if there are horse/rider openings left?
Our website on the events page will have the count down along with our Facebook page. A waiting list will be compiled once all slots are fulfilled. First come first serve.
I have an Arabian can I participate?
Absolutely! ALL breeds are welcome not only for our clinic but also our open show program.
Do we have to be a member of the Border Run to participate?
No. The Border Run program is a FREE program for exhibitors to participate and earn awards. There are no membership fees at this time.
Can we bring our own shavings?
Sunflower Barns of Bristol prefers that you purchase your shavings from them. If you would like to order some please do so ahead of time on your registration form. If you forget or change your mind please email Border Run. Please provide payment as soon as possible to avoid a payment chase.
What is your cancellation policy?
Each clinic is different as each one is a little different in some respect. Please see official flyer and registration form for cancellation details.
Can we turn in our coggins at a later date? We won't get them done until the spring.
Yes, you can email it to us once you receive it. We understand that spring shots and coggins tend to go hand in hand. We are just trying to streamline paperwork so we do not have to chase.
What if I turn in my paperwork and all slots are fulfilled?
We will hold on to your payment up until the clinic in case there is a cancellation. Those who are waiting will be contacted in the order in which their paperwork is received. If there are no cancellations then we can either destroy the payment or return back to you. The same goes for your stall check those will not be turned in until you are confirmed a spot.
Are you limiting the number of auditors?
No limitations on the number of auditors. We do encourage bringing your own chair. Chairs are available but limited indoors.
Are there any auditor passes included with a person participating with a horse?
Participants 18 years of age and under are allowed one adult to attend at no charge.
Do parents have to pay for youth auditing the clinic?
Yes, those who are accompanying a youth auditor are required to pay the auditor fee too.
If we bring a helper with for the clinic do we have to pay for them?
Yes, those who are accompanying any of our participants are required to pay the auditor fee.
What is the schedule for the day?
The schedule and start time will be announced at least a week prior to the event through email, our Facebook page and our website.
If we are auditing do we need to send payment in ahead of time?
It would be much appreciated if you would send in your payment ahead of time so we have a good understanding of auditor attendance and can prepare accordingly.
Is there an online payment option?
Not at this time.
Does Sunflower have camping hookups?
Not at this time.
Where are the nearest hotels?
The nearest hotels to Sunflower Barns of Bristol are located on the interstate, I-94 / HWY 165 and I-94 / HWY 50.
HWY 165 - Double Tree in Pleasant Prairie
HWY 50 - Hampton Inn, SpringHill Suites by Marriott, Country Inn and Suites, etc. There are a plethora of others like Super 8, LaQuinta, Comfort Suites, etc. to consider as well but these are the more reputable ones.
